Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress, who primarily works in Hindi films. The actress has won three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which makes her among India's most financially successful actresses. Time magazine named her as one of 100 influential people throughout the world in 2018. In addition, she was awarded with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the child to the badminton world the champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. She participated in the national championships as a teenager but decided to quit in order to pursue a career as a model. Padukone soon got offers for film roles and began her acting career in 2006 with the lead character in Aishwarya, a Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone played opposite Shah Rukh Khan a dual actor in Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film that was awarded the Filmfare Award as Best Female Debut.
