Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle her way to a role, she got a chance as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting, as models aren't usually thought of as an actor of high quality. They're often given small or unimportant roles. Amy did her best to get noticed and was eventually offered larger roles beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing for over a decade. She went on doing some significant films like the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played a well loved recurring character.
