Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. She made her acting debut in 1996, when she appeared in The TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get a small role in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't regarded as the best actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her play some more notable role. Amy received the recognition she'd been looking for for over a decade. She then continued to appear in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she played an enduring character.
