Dolly-Parton

Born on Jan. 19th of 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life through her vivid and far-ranging imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she could write or read. The first guitar she received was gifted to her at the age of eight. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. In the same year, she recorded her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. While she was at school, she already established herself in the local music scene. But her dream was to to perform at a much bigger level. The year 1964 was the day following her graduation from high-school the singer moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart at the top of Monument Records. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton began her career in the year 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 as her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their partnership with Wagoner, wrote"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and had it reach No. For the first time, in 1974.
