Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay's Brodie was born Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. She was a member of the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay directed her ingenious talent for writing and her impressive researching skills in the creation of a incredible psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith, published in 1945, entitled No Man Knows My History. That title was taken from a funeral sermon delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked the congregation with his words"You don't know me" you never knew my heart. No man knows my history. It's impossible for me to reveal it. Wrote the 29-year old Fawn: Since that day of truth, more than three writers have taken up the gauntlet. Many have deified and even abused him, while others have tried to pinpoint the root of the problem. There is nothing to suggest it's that the documents aren't sufficient, but they're rather inconsistent. The job of gathering the documents, of separating firsthand accounts from third-hand plagiarism of fitting Mormon and non-Mormon accounts into a mosaic that makes credible historical claims. This is an exciting and educational experience. Fawn brodie was professionally committed to her work. Her research and writings brought her fame around the world: Thaddeus Stephens. Scourge Of The South (1959) The Devil Drives. Thomas Jefferson. The Personal Story of Richard Nixon (1974), in posthumously.
